THINKARTWORKSTUDIOTT presents our first of many featured artists of the week to our website. This feature is a platform that allows you to become more acquainted with artists within the Caribbean who have and are currently collaborating with THINKARTWORKTT.

Our featured artist of this week is: “Aneesha Baldeosingh”

International artist Aneesha Baldeosingh questions the “in between” space through her abstract paintings and drawings that are both textural and atmospheric. Her work is will be featured in the upcoming exhibition titled Positively Abstract in San Fernando, and is one of the featured artists in Paradise Pulse online magazine in an article titled, “Aneesha Baldeosingh: Her Life Through Art.”

Movement: A Second International Small Works Exhibition in Germany, Mixed bag: An International Small Works Exhibition at 59 Rivoli Gallery in Paris, France, National Wet Paint Exhibition at the Zhou B. Art Center in Chicago, Illinois, and the Wisconsin Visual Artists Exhibition at Marian Gallery in Milwaukee, Wisconsin are only a few of the other places her work was featured in within the last 5 years. A couple of her past accomplishments includes receiving special recognition in the Upstream People Gallery International Juried Online Exhibition and honourable mention in the Photographers’ Forum Competition, with her work published in Best of Photography 2010.

She attained her B.F.A. in Studio Arts in 2009 at Mississippi University for Women and went on to pursue both her M.A. and M.F.A degrees at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. While living in Wisconsin, she was a Resident Artist at RedLine Milwaukee Inc. where she conducted numerous workshops and was featured in the Timeline Exhibition there. She also had the opportunity to teach at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design, and at the Art Institute of Wisconsin.
